Tourist Ship In Forth

The Scotsman newspaper

In the course of a pleasure cruise the 17,000 ton steamer Lancastria arrived in the Forth yesterday with about 700 American tourists on board. Setting out from New York the Lancastria visited ports in the Mediterranean and then proceeded to Gothenburg, Bergen and the Norwegian fjords. After remaining two days in the Leith Roads to give passengers an opportunity of sightseeing in Edinburgh, the Scott country and the Trossachs, the vessel will visit Hamburg, Cherbourg and Southampton and will then return to New York. Last summer the Lancastria had a similar cruise.
